Athens | The City of Ancient History
Since I love historical research and learning, I made sure to add Athens to my itinerary. This trip with my family was quite important to me because, despite being a small city, history was everywhere you looked.

While walking through the city streets, it is possible to see new historical remains next to buildings, in new excavation sites, and even in subway construction sites. The level is so high that it is possible to see archaeologists working even in the heart of the city.
Of course, my desire to learn about history comes from my family. They also love learning about the cultures of different cities and histories, so it became a city we included in our route during our summer vacation.
As I said, you might think that since the city is not very big, it wouldn't take long to explore, but in fact, it took me about 5 days to explore the city because there are historical remains on every street, especially the metropolis that can be seen from everywhere in the city.
However, choosing summer vacation to explore the city was a bit of a problem because we had to walk around the entire city in approximately 40°C weather, so we had to find a cafe-style place to sit every few hours to escape the heat. The Greek people were also very warm and friendly. Since we were in a neighboring country, they generally understood our language and greeted us in our own language. I also liked that many of them spoke a few words of our language while chatting.
But to sum up everything I've said, despite all the trips I've taken, I really felt like I explored Athens. I even believe that the historical sites and beautiful streets we stumbled upon, even when we hadn't planned to go there, added color to our trip. If you have any questions about Athens, let's meet in the comments!
